In this section I present the Book of Mormon Continental Geography Model. A completely novel geographic & archaeological correlation to the Book of Mormon, laid out to me through many inspiring dreams, visions and research.
Given the infighting and lack of consensus concerning archeological and geographical evidence for the Book of Mormon, I certainly don’t blame those confused by the existing conflicting models, or even those who dismiss the text as just another spiritualist channeling without a solid basis in history. I’d likely be in the same boat were it not for the unique spiritual experiences I’ve had with the text, which laid out its truth along side of this completely unique model. Before being shown this model, I’d found that the existing popular models out there seemed to fall a bit short of the overall ‘sea to sea’ (Hel 3:8–16) continental picture painted in the internal model of the Book of Mormon (as I’ve delineated in this article). However, this unique continental geography model overcomes those limiting issues as it essentially matches every major Book of Mormon city and culture with essentially the biggest and most influential archaeological sites, cultures, migrations and societal collapses on the ancient North American continent (in the way agreeing with what the book seems to portray). Its also the ONLY model that truly aligns with both the Heartland & Mesoamerican quotes given in Joseph Smith’s continental model (be sure to read my article on these). It also gives unique explanations for many of the cultural anachronisms, 19th century religious overtones, and KJV biblical quotes. This model is also the only one best supported by amazing historical accounts given in ancient texts such as Britain’s Kolbrin and Ixtlilxochitl’s translations of Aztec Codices.
With this model of Book of Mormon archaeology the text just seems to ‘fit’ with many of the most obvious and significant cultural events in the North American archaeological record. Things such as Egyptian-like pyramids & writing, indisputable Assyrian motifs & writing found in the ancient Americas, east-facing two columned temples and the rise of the continents largest empire, Teotihuacan. The model also ties together existing Mesoamerican Mayan evidence, Heartland mound builder evidence and the sequential collapse of essentially EVERY major culture on the continent. (From the Mayans to the Mixtec & Teotihuacan empire, to Hohokam & Hopewell collapses and even likely the Toltec, Chichimec, Ancestral Puebloans or Anasazi, Cahokia and Early Mississippian cultures with its revised timeline of radiocarbon dates from 1050-1150 AD.)
This model suggests that most secular and LDS scholars have overlooked many of these surprising correlations because of misunderstandings of two simple textual concepts. The secular correlation overlooked because of the lack of a few incontrovertible linchpins which prove pre-Columbian transoceanic cultural diffusion between the old and new worlds. And overcoming LDS stumbling blocks of the narrow neck problem, and likely Book of Mormon chronology issues. Both these issues I explain at length in the following articles; giving two possible explanations on why a few of the Book of Mormon event dates might not match exactly with the radiocarbon dates in the early Jaredite and post-Christ timelines. One being a timeline lacuna/gap by Book of Mormon authors and the other being a possible needed radiocarbon date correction because of the excess radiocarbon marine reservoir effect caused by an undocumented comet and/or CME hitting the Pacific Ocean around the start of the Christian era and another documented event occuring in 774 AD)
