-the Zapotec creation myth associated with Monte Alban in Oaxaca, wherein Serpent-Deer and Serpent-Jaguar creators give birth to a black spear point that falls to earth as twin brothers. These twins have been associated with the Plumed Serpent, aka Quetzalcoatl.
-Hispanicized name, Mitla’s Zapotec name is Lyobaa, which means “place of rest.”  their name for the underworld and Sabbath?
